Dr. Kristin Maloney, N.D. was born in Stamford, Connecticut and is a National Board-Certified & Licensed Naturopathic Doctor (USA). She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington (USA) in 2009 and then moved to Greece with her husband. A pioneer in natural medicine, Bastyr University is at the forefront of developing leaders in natural health arts and sciences for the 21st- century. As an accredited Naturopathic Medical School, they also have conducted cutting-edge research in Complimentary & Alternative Medicine (CAM).
Her interest in holistic medicine was sparked in 1999 when she studied abroad in India and pursued an ethnographic research project in Ayurvedic medicine (as part of her anthropology degree). She moved to Berkeley, California where her interest in naturopathic medicine developed. While working in an herbal apothecary, she learned about the healing properties of plants and was inspired to deepen her knowledge of natural medicine. This is what led her to Bastyr University.
Kristin believes that the greatest wealth is good health and that the best way to empower her patients is through education. This helps them in their journey of taking an active and mindful path to both living and healing. She has been in private practice and works as an international consultant in science-based natural medicine that integrates mind, body, spirit, and nature with a field specialty in woman and children’s health care. She is also a certified Homeopath by the “Homeopaths Association of Greece” (HAG) to practice homeopathy in Greece.
She resides in Athens, Greece along with her husband and two children. Kristin brings her professional expertise into the classroom at ACEAM and will be teaching several modules in the Foundations of Western Medical Sciences.
